Our dedication is to the "Complete Rottweiler" the Working breed both in Character and Conforma The aims of the BRSDC, are to help safeguard the breed by promoting in every way the maintenance of current standards and of further improvements to the breed seen as a versatile working breed of dog which also fits into the society of today. The BRSDC hosts many events throughout the year to help the club achieve it's aims and fulfill it's members ambitions. These consist of: • Breed Survey's • Breed Suitability Tests • Klubsieger (FCI/European Show Style grading event) • The Rottweiler IGP National Championships • Working Tests • Training Day's • Seminars From these events our members get to explore new ventures with their dog, gain valuable knowledge about the breed, have a fun day out and get to meet up with and make many new like minded friends along the way. CLUB HISTORY The BRSDC started out as a small group of like minded Rottweiler enthusiasts who shared the same passions and desires to preserve and promote the true working ability and character of the Rottweiler. From this small group of people interest grew and so the BRSDC was formed in 2006. Since the re- structuring of the club in 2009, concentrated efforts to broaden the clubs objectives to help unite both the working ability and show conformation sides of the breed have been made. In 2011 the club secured UK Kennel Club Registration; and in the same year, membership of the International Federation of Rottweiler friends IFR, (the Global body for promoting the Rottweiler breed on an International level). As such the BRSDC is the only UK Rottweiler Club to recognise all standards, including the breed standard of the FCI Fédération Cynologique Internationale (the International Federation of kennel clubs or World Canine Organisation). This, together with the BRSDC's guidelines set out in it's constitution sets the club apart from other existing UK Rottweiler Clubs. To date, because of the BRSDC's efforts, BRSDC members have participated at many Rottweiler World Championship Competitions around the world, with improvements made year on year in both the the strength of the British team and their performance at these competitions. The clubs events have also attracted participants from overseas, showing testament to the work the club is doing for the breed and that it is a club recognised by Rottweiler enthusiasts alike from around the globe.
